Two exciting MINI models will be making their U.S. debut at the 2012 L.A. Auto Show later this month.
The MINI Paceman and John Cooper Works GP were both unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show earlier this year.
The John Cooper Works (JCW) GP is the fastest MINI ever, with 211 hp that makes it fast enough to lap Nurburgring in eight minutes and 23 seconds. Power comes from a 1.6-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder with 207 lb-ft of torque to go with its power. The JCW GP will be limited to just 2,000 units.

As for the Paceman, MINI calls it a “Sports Activity Coupe” and is the second model in the British automaker’s lineup to come with the All4 all-wheel drive system. Also powered by a 1.6-liter, the base model Paceman is naturally aspirated with 121 hp and 118 lb-ft of torque. Those wanting more performance can opt for the turbocharged Cooper S Paceman which comes with 181 hp and 177 lb-ft of base torque. In overboost, the Cooper S can benefit from 192 lb-ft of torque in spurts.
